What do you get when someone is on the phone, thinking deep in conversation, and watching the news about tomorrows snow?

An accident? Almost, close call for me several times tonight during a car ride.

Me and a Korean who was driving were out in the dark cold country side, the farthest in the boonies possible for South Korea, running around in his car for about 40 minutes and had several mishaps, but nothing serious this time. We came 1 inch from killing a pedestrian, several times we almost missed curves, and we finally hit a big hole which damaged the cars suspension for sure as it got very noisy and very rough, but was able to keep rolling with a few minor noises afterward.

When we hit a peice of ice, slid, and bottom out hitting a big chuck hole, I thought we were toast. In each instance, I seen the problems in front of us as they developed, but the man just wouldn't pay attention and just kept having near misses.

The last one was the big drop off hole which I blew a gasket on my engine about as I felt a pain in my back from it and still do right now. It was bad, but not as bad as it could had been. I cussed at him to fucking pay attention as we're almost crashing and not to mention it's too dangerously cold to be stranded out in the boonies in an accident. Cussing is not normally my style as sometimes I can go a year, usually about 6 months I blow one, without getting mad and cussing, but now I'm angry that he pushed me that point and my back hurts. I yelled, "Stop talking on the phone and watching TV right now! You're driving in dangerous cold Winter weather, drive!" He said sorry and started driving. I said, "I really hate to get angry and yell at you, becuase I know you're a nice man, but you're being very stupid here." Man seemed to be in a drunk stupor, but hadn't been drinking. Probably just super tired and a bit busy.

He only knows a few English words so he can't understand anymore than I'm upset over his irresponsibility and he said sorry.

Why are people so daft? It was all so obvious to me as I sat there beside him seeing things problems ahead of time. I'm just thankful bad things didn't happen that almost happened.

In your plight, do you get all these bad experiences or is it just me? This is just 1 of thousands of dumb things I go through, but this one makes my nerves crawl a bit.

People wonder at me why I don't even have a machine to tell me where to go.

Simply because all my attention is on the road.

I even get slightly angry when my child is making noise in the backseat.

It doesn't take much to get killed.
