Soon, I will be heading to the Philippines for vacation. I will be arriving in Manila around midnight.
Will I have trouble exchanging dollars for pesos at midnight at the airport?
Can anyone recommend a hotel for under 1000 pesos? |

Why not just be on the safe side and exchange a little bit of won for pesos here at KEB or the airport banks? |

Buy p10,000 when you are at the airport in Incheon before you leave. Make sure you get some small bills (100's and 500's) cause no-one will have change for 1000's late at night.
Do NOT exchange currency at the airport in Manila and DO NOT take won out of Korea.

I went to KEB bank today. They had no pesos. Exchanged 700.000 won for $495. If the won doesn't go below 1200 before September, I might need to find work in Taiwan or China.
It would be great if I can exchange dollars for pesos at Incheon. Are the exchange counters open at 9pm?
I have my US atm card that I used last year. It should still work. Hopefully, I can withdraw money from my US account.
Any ideas for a place to stay the first night? |

Hotels in manilla are not cheap. I paid 2300 for the city garden hotel in malate which the tried to sell at the airport for 4000.
How long are you staying for. I burned through 2000 american so fast on my trip I hope you are taking more than $495.
here is some cheap hotels lonely planet 2006 makati ymca 1000 pesos. robelle house makati 1000 pesos. pension natividad is 300 for a dorm or 1000 a room , malate pension 300 dorm 1000 a room. prices are a lot higher than 2006 in my experience.
you can 46 pesos for a U.s dollar at the airport in manila after 12 just near the baggage pick up before clearing customs. |
