Hi All!
What are the different types of Hair Cuts available for ladies in Korea & how much will it cost? I am new here and I donot know the names of the Hair cuts. Hence please do let me know them and also how I can ask for that in korean language.
Also will they be able to tell me what cut will look better for me? I like trying new styles. How do I ask ?
My husband had a hair trim and it cost 13k.
Are there any good and not so expensive hair salons in Pyeongchon area? |

For a simple cut (wash/cut/style combo) you can expect to pay between 20 and 30 thousand...very cheap compared to my homeland.
I'm sure the shop will have loads of magazines to peruse, and as some stylists seem to spend time abroad training, I'm sure you can have a conversation about what you'd like.
Sorry, I don't know the area you live in, but in and around Seoul my experience has always been fine for what I'm paying. |

20-30,000won?? I live in Seoul as well, and have never paid more than 17,000 won for a haircut. (With a wash and style) If you're brave enough, just stop in one of hole in the wall places and show a picture. I have had many haircut/styles there, and it cost 5,000 won. You don't always have to know Korean, either. I have long hair and have just used gestures to show that I wanted long layers. If you feel uncertain, have a Korean friend or co worker write a note in Korean saying what you want. Good luck! |

길게 층 내주세요: This is what my 8th grade girl students said you would ask for if you wanted long layers. If someone else wants to double check it, that would be great! |
