Does anyone know how long (30 days ?) you have AFTER you get
your E-2 to do your medical check?

Also for GEPIK teachers, did your school pay the actual visa fee?
Mine was only 45 bucks , but the school says they will not pay,
and that's a first for me in Korea. Pretty low down I think.

In response to your first question, the time limit is in many cases flexible depending on your location. I work in a rural area, and my public school usually gave me 30 days give or take a week, when I was on the E2 visa. These days I have been here long enough and am on a different visa, so they generally just contact me and say please have it done by this or that day. I schedule the time to go and they have no problem with giving me time off to complete the health check up. As a new person they may be more strict with the time.

In response to your second question, that is totally a school decision. My public school paid for mine, but I had friends who did have to pay for their own.

One additional comment, this is dependent on whether you are doing this from Korea or from a different country. I am speaking about the process of someone in the country.
