My school has computers in every classroom. They're actually not too bad, although some of them don't have enough RAM memory. The thing that bugs me is that a program is used to return them automatically to a previous state -- deleting everything that was installed. It's the same type of program that PC Bangs use.
Unfortuantely, it also means the computer is in a perpetual state of attempting to update and reboot itself, and I cannot change the settings to keep it from doing so. There's nothing like having you or your students give presentations using PPT's, and the Windows restart box popping up. When I start Microsoft Word 2007 for the first time, it wasn't to validate itself or something (which it passes) and do other crap.
Sure is annoying!
(Oh, and I'm assuming our copies of Windows are legal, because they are LG computers). |

We have the same thing- although it doesn't have the glitches yours seems to- that sucks.
There's also one folder on the desktop it doesn't delete, which is nice as I use the same room day to day. |

| You are also assuming their copies of windows are legal as well. Almost sounds like the Windows Genuine Advantage is doing its bit. God I hate that little thing. |
