Is that the newer, magnetic type?
I've got one of the older (G4) adapters you can have if it'll work.
Cheers,

I'm sorry, I don't have an extra, but I wanted to let you know that last I checked (May) you CANT buy one here. My cord fried back in May and I finally got the Apple retailers to tell me that they don't carry them at all. Zip. Nada. Unless you feel like buying a new computer as well. Thankfully I was headed back to the states the next week, so I didn't have to go too long without my computer. |

I don't have one. I always like to help out when I can. I live in Ulsan, so I am pretty far away from Seoul. If you can't find one over the next week, let me know. I am heading to the states for the lunar new year. I will be back on the 29th. I would assume such a thing is easy to pick up near my home in Washington, DC. I only offer because I have had to deal with these horrible computer issues while I have been here. |

so kind of you... and yes, in light of the circumstances... it would be a tremendously appreciated favor if you could pull it off for me... |

I see this all the time here. Retailers sell something (in my case, cameras, bikes, computers, espresso makers) but very often don't sell the accessories or replacement parts for it. They just brush off any special order requests for these things. I wonder why Koreans do that. ??? ???? There is plenty of mark-up on accessories and parts!
Get someone back home to send one to this '2nd-world' country.
edit: I just checked Apple Kr. online and they don't seem to carry the MacBook 60w adapter, just the MBP and Air ones. Astounding! I'd call customer service and see if they have one (but not listed) or if they'll get you one. Maybe they'll actually do it. |

Apple is a Non-Korean company and therefore competes with Korean made computers. In case you haven't noticed whatever hindrances can be place in the way of foreign goods will be done! There is no "Apple Korea" by the way, only independent wholesalers. I got that directly from one of the dealers whe he explained to me why the Apple service centers are all over the city and some will handle some repairs and some won't. Like an LCD monitor for example.
Anyway, try a place called "D-Mac" in Sinsa near the Hannam bridge. There are two Apple shops here, this is the smaller one closer to the Station exit. I think it's #6 - but not positive.
Another place is in Yongsan that sells second hand Macs. They ever tear them down for parts so it's a likely source. Unfortunately a bit difficult to describe the location. I would suggest that you get out at the Sinyoungsan stn. Again not certain of exit, but at the Sookmyeong University direction and the Electornics side of the road. There's a road that passes north of the E-Mart and you will stay on the north side. go though the underpass beneath the tracks. Then take the steps to the right. If you continue up the ramp you'll end up next to a small road. There's a row of electronics places there and the Apple shop is at the East end. The chubby guy in there (usually with red hair!) speaks pretty good English. I'd be willing to bet he can find one somewhere.
Good luck! |

I have one, and i'll even throw in the Official Apple US to Korea power converter piece for it. It's the 85w magsafe though, i think Macbook is supposed to have the 60w one.
150K won and it's yours. |
