| Also wondering..can you have a choice of where you live?? I am worried I might get posted somewhere really far from all the action.... |

No, there are privately funded schools in Seoul, usually in wealthier areas. Also, the Gangnam public schools manage themselves to a large degree and are not part of the SMOE ETIS program.
If you work for SMOE, you could be anywhere and you have ZERO choice about it. You could be live in Jongno (central) or Bonghwasan (45 minutes from central). You could also live up to an hour away from your school.
