I support this, but I do wish that femal arts groups would refrain from using terms such as "wild" in order to draw an audience for independant and free spirited women performers. That term in particular carries a "Girls Gone Wild" association and it makes me mad that women feel that they have to use their sexuality to gain an audience for their creative works...and maybe we don't actually need to do that. Maybe our work can speak for itself?!!

Sounds like a good time. Korea needs more of this and not just from the women. The arts are sadly neglected round here.

I'm not old enough to be second wave. In fact, I did the belly dancing, and the retro burlesque troop thing and I had a good long run at a third wave supposedly "sex positive" version of feminism. None of this stuff really raised my self image all that much. I ended up looking for something else. Less drama, less attention seeking, more modesty, more spirituality...that sort of thing...and I didn't have to take any yoga classes or subscribe to Oprah magazine to get there either. I just had to had a little faith in God and try to see myself as s/he sees me. S/He had a better life for me. Who was I to argue?
