what exactly is ssagaji? who has it? who doesn't? will your korean friends get offended if you use the term to describe someone else?

ssagaji is respect and humility. As you well know, it's important that you show it to others when you're dealing with a korean person.

If you say that to a korean person, it would be an insult.

A reputable korean person wouldn't say ssagaji. For example, you would never hear a CEO, or the president speak the word on national tv.

However, between friends, it is perfectly acceptable.

note: although we say "he doesn't have ssagaji", ssagaji as a noun is also someone who is disrespectful.

ie. "You are a ssagaji" = "You don't have ssagaji" = "you are a *beep*"
