Well I read this article about Man U coming to Korea to play some friendlies with Man U and apparently Korea didn't even knew they were coming. Talk about keeping attention to detail. Surely if a major football club were visiting, you would keep notes of the dates of arrival, the dates of matches, etc. Well not Man U nor Korea.

Apparently, no one told Korea about their plans and thus, Korea has received a dose of it's own medicine on how it treats their own expat community. However, someone had the audacity to mention,
Quote:
"Man U may have thought that we will follow their schedule," said one club official, who asked not to be named. "They were careless not discussing the issue."

Anyhow, nice to see Korea trying to lie their way through this one and creating excuses when the Korean Coaches could not say no to Man U visiting. Good to see that Korean teams and their coaches get embarrassed and try to create reasons or excuses on how and why things happened like this. To me Man U are very reputable and organised everything well and Korea let the largest football team down. Good luck in the 21st century Korea.

Man U Embarrasses Korean Clubs

Park Ji-sung and his Manchester United teammates are to return to Seoul for a friendly this summer - but someone forget to tell their potential K-League opponents.

David Gill, the club's chief executive, announced that the club will embark on a four-match tour at a press conference in Monaco, Wednesday.

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Club World Cup champion will leave on July 16 for China, then head to Seoul for a game with FC Seoul or Suwon BlueWings at Seoul World Cup stadium on July 20.

But it has emerged that the Red Devils didn't have discussions with either club about setting up a fixture.

"We didn't hear anything from Man U," Han Woong-soo, general manager of FC Seoul told Yonhap News Agency Wednesday.

Seoul is penned in to play Gangwon FC in a league game on July 19, the day before the game.

For the BlueWings, the headache is more acute. The club says it is impossible to play in Seoul because it would mean many of their fans who live in Suwon would miss the glamor match. The 2008 K-League champion team also has a game against Daejeon Citizen the same weekend.

Man U, though, is talking up the trip as an ideal opportunity for foreign fans to see its litany of stars in action.

``Our tours to Asia are always special,'' Gill said at the conference. ``The atmosphere generated by the supporters is amazing. The club enjoys unrivalled support across the continent and it is great to give those fans the opportunity to see their heroes in action in their own country.''

Critics have accused the English Premier League champion of lacking etiquette.

"Man U may have thought that we will follow their schedule," said one club official, who asked not to be named. "They were careless not discussing the issue."

Surely the Korean teams don't need to know about this until 5mins before hand, or when they are just about to go home after a hard days training. Man Utd players' parents should also send a complaint.

Could also imagine Ferg arriving at the airport. "Phew, that was a long flight. Okay guys try and get some rest tonight", Korean League representative "No, you play now! It okay, you handsome manager"

OK, you hate Korea, we know. I hate Korea too, so therefore it is an OK emotion.

Wouldn't the Man U officials have to meet the Korean players' parents first so that the parents could tell the Man U officials how to coach the game?

In the end they`ll just shut up, then come out and play because they want some of the won generated by the Korean golden boy`s visit.

So the Korean teams are getting 6 months to adjust?

Cripes, my Korean bosses generally give me notice of class changes that day, or the day before (if at all). I often find out from students!

6 months is a gift.
