Today is Abraham Lincoln's 200th birthday 
I figured there would be articles about that online and sure enough, The Daily Beast has an article listing 'interesting' recent books. http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-and-stories/2009-02-11/team-of-sequels/
For example: Did you know that Mary Todd Lincoln was a man? 
By the end of the article I was pretty sure that I'd discovered why the US is in such a mess these days. American civilization would be a good idea and I hope it starts soon. |

Wow. Today is also Charles Darwin's 200th birthday. (February 12th, 1809). What a remarkable coincidence that two great men, who did so much to liberate us from the nonsense of the past were born on the same day.
Rest in peace brothers. The world is a better place because you lived. |
