I received a "pm" from a moderator saying that I had to change my avatar - because it is 100 pixels on a side

I have tried to changed the properties of the avatar...

It is now SIZE: 14161 bytes and DIMENSIONS: 238 X 170 pixels

Does that breach the TORS ?? If it does - what program can I use to make it less pixels?

(p.s. - I have seen other users with much LARGER avatars.. I thought mine wasn't that big)...

238 X 170 pixels is too large. It should be 100 x 100 pixels maximum

You can copy the image into a photoshop program ('Gimp' is a free download), & reduce the size there.

Are you going to take your own advice and shrink yours since it's 138x138?

134 x 138 p !

The moderators are currently requesting all excessively sized avatars be reduced. If you don't like it, converse with them.

100 X 74 p !

I did it - but unless you and others also get it under 100 - you will lose your avatar Privileges!

My avatar is now smaller than 100 pixels...

Hoever, do you realise that there are five (5) moderators - whose avatars are much larger than 100 pixels...

(that just seems to be unfair or hypocritcal to me)

If they'd upgrade the bloody 7 year-old message board software this avatar thing wouldn't be an issue anyway.

all the problems they have on this board ... and they're picking on avatar sizes?

figures ...

and yeah, they could upgrade to phpbb3 at least ... then you could automatically control avatar sizes.

To be fair, most of the "new" mods are probably just socks for older posters. At least, that's what I hope. Or not. I really don't care.
