I'm about to go over to Korea to teach at a private school and am very aware of the chances of getting fired. I was wondering what documents I should bring in order to apply for a new job if it happens. If a person is fired after only a few months, do they need to obtain a new work visa? What should I bring with me to Korea to make the job application process easier/quicker (transcripts, copy of diploma, etc)? Thanks for any advice you can give me!
PS: Any tips for scoring brownie points with your boss right off the bat? I don't care if I'm a kiss ass as long as I get paid and don't get fired. |

Up, down, all around this forum are posters who have tried to manage their teaching (and other employment) positions in a legitimate, professional manner here in K. I would venture a guess that most of us here have a very real desire to keep our dignity about us as we go about our work.
With that in mind, for you to come on here and tell us so blatantly that you don't care about your own dignity, have no sense of self-worth and probably even less self-esteem, well, I honestly don't know what to say except Ks don't care - could care less- how much ass you are willing to kiss. They'll either screw with you or not - and chances are the more willing you are to kiss their ass the more they'll screw you - surprise surprise.
so grow a spine before you arrive and stop with the incredible self-degradation you've embarked on. it's embarrassing already. |

| If you get fired, go to China. I agree with Moosehead, however. |
