Yes, I am American, and I take comfort/pride in knowing that she was once an English teacher here, but give me a break, please! Is it really necessary for the local papers to run her photo several times each week? Wouldn't you feel a bit embarassed if you were her? You'd think she was running for public office or something.
But I guess I should actually feel sorry for her, for she was previously married to a Korean. What was she thinking? |

| Well take comfort in knowing her term here will be a short one. Most likely all of current ambassadors will be replaced next week and have been told to tender their resignations. |

OBVIOUSLY she's there to fill time between the important ambassadors who come here to enforce policy. She's just a social butterfly sent here to make nice.
She's a career State Dept official who received this posting because it caps off her years of service and butt kissing of the right political people.
Soon, the job will go to an Obama official who will take the job more seriously and actually do something with it- or not (Obama  ). |
