Bring the spices with you or be prepared to spend a lot of money maybe getting them on the grey market. |

There doesn't appear to be any rice in your Red Beans & Rice recipe.
Things that are available: red beans, onions, garlic, celery, parsley, bay leaves (albeit you have to buy enough to last 5 years).
The availability of sausage depends on the kind you want to use. Costco in Yangjae has Cajun sausage.
Red pepper is universally available here but not in the form you want. Bring it along with the cayenne and cumin. (You can get cumin in Itaewon and at Yangjae Costco.)
Try substituting Tobasco sauce for cayenne. |

There is a tiny store in Changwon (near Busan) that sells cumin and other spices (coriander, tumeric, ect.) to the Southeast Asian expat community. |

Your vegetables should be easy to get anywhere (not sure about fresh parsley though). However, anything you can't get at Emart you can get at the foreign market just up the hill next to What the Book in Itaewon. And, unlike Costco, you don't have to buy a year's worth and spend 50 bucks on herbs.
That's assuming you're in Seoul. |

I did see one black market store with cajun seasoning.
CostCo.: red beans, onion, garlic, bay leaf, red pepper, cumin. I don't remember if CostCo. has cayenne pepper.
Local markets probably have some of this.
Where can one get good sausage? I have seen sausage at CostCo. and other places but I've never eaten it. I usually use ground beef instead. I believe that several posts on where to find beef already exist. |

Do you know the name of the store or have a general idea where in Changwon it is located?
Gracias! |

Are you serious? I walk past one of those stores every day. I'll have to stop in tomorrow.
While we're on the subject, I've been to a couple of stores in Itaewon that has a good selection of spices. It's been well over a year since I've been there. Without going all the way there first, can someone tell me if it's easy to score some amchur/mango powder, chili powder, asofoetida/hinge (whatever the hell that is). Thanks |

Homeplus sells fresh parsley. 1,500 for a bunch. |
