***** FANTASTIC DESKTOP COMPUTER FOR SALE *****

Due to unforeseen circumstances I have to leave Korea in a month or so, so I am selling the desktop computer I bought only 6 weeks ago.

It looks very stylish, and since it is so new it's obviously in fantastic condition.

- 4 slots in the small compartment on the front which take almost any type of memory card
- Spare Mouse
- Good, loud speakers

WIDESCREEN MONITOR -

..............

I think I have covered pretty much everything there, but if you have any other questions feel free to post them here or PM me

I am looking to sell for around 650,000 KRW. Any offers will be considered, and I may also consider swapping for a laptop.

I am located in Cheonan (about an hour outside Seoul), so you can come to pick it up if you like. Alternatively I may be able to deliver for an extra cost, depending on where you live.

Thanks for reading!

Did you get the microphone separately? If so, where did you get it or are you willing to sell it separately? I am real close, in Pyeongtaek.

NVIDIA nForce 630i

This is a mainboard. Not sure why you added "1GB of memory"; mainboards have no memory.

Not a gamer's rig, but ok for surfing, watching video and word processing.

But....the price is a burn. All bottom-end parts. Sorry to say that, but since Spliff is on vacation, someone has to take up the slack. Laughing

That rig could be built new for about 450,000, if the CPU were still selling in stores (which it isn't).

sorry but what was your motivation behind that post? do you build computers for a living?

can't understand why you'd want to harm my chances of selling at the price I want when it's nothing to do with you.

Agreed on the price being optimistic and not a gamer's wet dream, but don't sell the guy too short. A 70,000 won second-hand Pentium 4 will do you for surfing and MS Word, this could handle a little more.

I bought it from E-Mart... it was cheap enough. About 7,000 I think.

I don't build for a living, but I have been told I should. I build as a hobby and favor for friends. Nothing to do with me? Not many people address others by name on this board; it that sense, nothing here has to do with anyone directly. This place would be a ghost town, were we hemmed in by your protocol for posting.

My motivation? So people don't pay more than they should. That however, is a strawman for the real question: what is your motivation to price it so high? You are either ignorant or gouging. You're welcome or shutdown.

@deizio: The CPU is 76,000 new. 1MB of L2 cache makes it useless for encoding audio or video and it's old; a 65nm dual-core, not a core2duo. This means that in single-threaded apps, it is effectively a slow P4. For gaming, the CPU can't do more than that without a graphics card behind it. The 7100 is probably not much better than onboard graphics.

Well all I can say is that I use the computer for word processing and other general MS Office things I need to do for my job. I also use it to watch movies and TV shows on the good quality LCD monitor. In addition to this i use it to burn DVDs and CDs, as well as using it to process my photographs and videos. I do play games on it too... not really high end games though, so like 99% of computer users I don't need or want a really high end customised system which would allow me to play those games. I guess what I'm trying to say is that this computer would be great for most people who do normal things like this with their systems.

As for the price, notice that I said I am open to offers.

Now if you'd kindly take your one-man consumer watchdog crusade elsewhere and go back to your game of World of Warcraft, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

I don't consider this a one person action. Calling out high prices on something should be done on here. It helps both seller and buyer come to a more legitimate price.

If it is too high, which happens most of the time, then the buyer can pay less and get a better deal. When you get down to it, I would rather error on giving the buyer a better deal than a seller getting more than something is worth.

If it is too low, then the seller isn't getting what they deserve. Usually, this doesn't happen, and when it does it is easily handled by all potential buyers upping the offers (auction style) to get to the price.

Why complain about posters commenting on the price. Obviously, you want as much as you can get, but if it isn't worth it then it isn't worth it. Bite the bullet and accept it.

I tried selling something last week, and the buyer tested it out and found out it wasn't what I advertised it as. I don't feel I was in the wrong, but I did feel it wasn't as good of an item as I thought. So, I gave him some money back as a result.

I would have preferred to have known it was worth less (actually it's pretty much worthless LOL) than get what I got initially before refunding.

I'll stop there, I just don't know why sellers get so offensive when others inform them their dream price isn't a fair amount to expect.

As long as the person saying the price is too high gives proof (which demophobe has done) then calling out high prices is no problem. It's when they randomly low ball people that it's a problem

"PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE LITTLE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN!"

I believe sellers who get offended very rarely make sales.

It's much better to post on craigslist anyways, op. Don't worry about it.

Seriously, I wouldn't pay more than 250,000 for that but on craigslist people can't reply to your post for everyone to see.

If you're looking for a used machine, just go to Yongsan's Sun-in building. Enter at the left front door, and keep to the left. You'll see several used machines for sale at good prices.
