To be honest with you, I don't think journalists should be anywhere allowed war (sic). I mean, you guys report where our troops are at, you report what's happening day-to-day, you make a big deal out of it. I think it's asinine. I liked back in World War I and World War II, when you'd go to the theater and you'd see your troops on the screen and everyone would be real excited and happy for them. Now everyone's got an opinion and wants to down soldiers, our American soldiers, Israeli soldiers. I think media should be abolished from, you know, reporting. You know, war is hell, and if you're going to sit there and say, "Well, look at this atrocity," well, you don't know the full story behind it half the time. So I think the media should have no business in it.

Yeah, it's a fluff thread.

I unknowingly started a second thread about this, which I deleted after I saw yours. I'll reproduce my thread title here, because it pretty much sums up my views on the guy's commentary...

Quasi-fascist ranting from Joe The Plumber

It's amazing that people once actually talked about this guy as the savior of the Republican campaign. Not only are his views on the media completely contrary to the tenets of a free press, they are borderline incoherent as well.

Granted, most of us aren't 100% Shakesperian in our everyday speech, but this guy is purporting to be a journalist?

This is some classic stuff. Joe, sounding like an off-duty security guard on a power trip, accuses a group of reporters of being anti-Israel.

Quote:
Joe: Do you believe Israel is bad?

Reporter: Do I believe...

Joe: Yeah, do YOU?

Reporter: I'm Israeli, so...

How strange..

It is easy to see how the mouth-breathing right would love this stuff. The straight talking American laying down some common sense to the egg heads of the MSM.

Rod Dreher sums up what a lot of his fellow conservatives must be thinking right about now...

Quote:
In his latest video dispatch from the war zone in southern Israel, Joe the Plumber accuses an Israeli journalist of not being pro-Israeli.

If I were a liberal now, I'd be paying cash money to keep this asinine experiment keepin' on.
