I'm just thankful that the poor captain can now eat healthy! Let alone be in the light and able to walk more than two steps in any direction.

They're not out of the woods yet however. But this is a good start to reversing what has been done. Shocked

I wonder if this has anything to do with Samsung`s falling profits announcement. Anyway, about damn time for these guys. They should be out of the woods because they didnt do anything wrong other than being in the wrong place, at the wrong time to cover for a Korean captain`s incompetence.

I blame the Indian guys on this one. If only they had attended their court hearings in wheel chairs and had worn pajamas, then they wouldn't be in this mess. A ventilator would have helped as well.

While this is still far short of justice, I'm sure the two men and their families appreciate this turn of events mightily. Hopefully this is only the beginning of a reversal of fortunes for them.

If these two have any sense of reality, they would simply enter the Indian Embassy & not leave until they were flown out via helicopter to a waiting ship & sail home. I cannot believe the logic of the decision in this case.

It's very similar to a car hitting a tree while the driver was drunk. The man isn't responsible because the 'tree' caused the damage to his truck. Hence if the tree wasn't there, there would have been no damage. Since the tree has very little power in this country & not many are able to speak on its behalf, the tree is convicted of a crime, cut down & now part of several peices of cheap woodchip pressed furniture.

Sad..but actually quite accurate.

While the embassy stint would be good coverage on TV etc..... There would be no feasible way for him to get out. No Indian helicopter is gong to get here.

I don't see the Koreans backing down on this now.

My gut tells me that they will let the sailors go free eventually, but they will not overturn the conviction. They will try to make themselves the "good" guys by saying that the Indian sailors have suffered enough for their crimes and the Korean government has decided to release them for humanitarian reasons.

I wouldn't be surprised if the sailors had to go on TV and "apologize" for their "crime" as part of the deal to be released.
