My wife and I are hoping to get public school positions in Busan starting in September. (I have a MA, so I will try out for a university position too, although I've read that those are hard to get from abroad.)
Just wanted to see what people thought the best time to apply would be. Are more jobs likely to be available later once recruitment for the March term is over? Or would it be best to contact recruiters / schools as soon as possible?
Also when it comes to public schools, would we be likely to have a better choice of contracts by going through several recruiters or directly through EPIK / BMOE? My worry is that EPIK / BMOE might just push us into a particular job without too much further consultation - is that a valid concern?
Also, is there anything to be gained from contacting public schools directly or can they only employ people through EPIK / BMOE (with or without a recruiter)?
Thanks so much |
