I have a TESOL 100 hr online certificate from ITTT.
I think their website is tefl online dot net.
I got it in November 2008. I also got a Grade B.
That has no relevance to this thread but I felt the need to say it.
This qualification will mean a pay raise for my next contract. |

Three best TEFL certifications in Korea are probably Sookmyung TEFL, followed by CELTA or Trinity. I only say Sookmyung because that's what Koreans recognize. All of them are expensive and time consuming, but considered very good.
The cheap online certificate programs may not be worth much outside of Korea, but they will work here if they are over 100 hours. |

I agree. Just be aware if the online course you do is 100 hours, but not more than 100 hours, it will still get you a raise in pay with GEPIK.
I don't know about EPIK. |

Is this certification required for doing ESL even if you have a 4 year degree? |

No. But if you have one you'll get paid more, that's why I did it, as well as wanting to better myself as a teacher (yeah, right, teehee). |
