Ok,here it is:

One of my biggest pet peeves are the people in my home who go to the loo-can-john-shitter-bathroom etc etc,use the last of the toilet paper and leave the empty cardboard tube on the toilet paper holder without bothering to replace it for the next guest.

I went to the can this morning and did what nature intended.I reached over for some buttape, only to find a lonely cardboard tube resting solemnly on the metal rod.

I know I should have confirmed the presence of an adequate paper supply before dumping, but the person before me should have refreshed the roll.I always do it as a common courtesy, but it seems I'm the only one in my household who does this.

I had to waddle to an outside cupboard with my trousers around my knees to fetch a new roll.

What are your thoughts on this?

I just had to run back to the bathroom and replace the toilet roll. Thanks for the reminder.

I use my shower head to wash my bum, so I don't need toilet roll. Just a quick shake to get the drops of water off and i'm good to go.

That's a good system provided you actually have enough room to stack a few rolls of buttape. In my can,I don't.Barely enough room to turn around.

Don't you find that the fecal infected water then sprays around your bathroom, covering things like toothbrushes and face towels?

When I was a kid, I used to go up to my uncle's cabin in northern Ontario. There was no running water. Just a pit toilet. And we still had room for an extra bog roll.

I think you just like to whine.

Yeah, and you know me so well and all of that. Rolling Eyes

I shat in more uncle's cabins and pit toilets than you ever would in a month of Sundays pal.

There is a difference in stuffing a"bog roll" in a filthy pit toilet than doing it in a civilized manner in a house can.

Cosco sells baby wipes by the boxload. Get yourself a box and you're good for at least a year. Nothing cleans better than a baby wipe, not even the bidet. No stains left behind. Very Happy

Yeah, my grandparents came to my apartment when I first moved away from home. My gran noticed that the guest bathroom had two bog rolls in a wicker basket next to the door. She asked why they were there:

On the sink, they would get wet. By the toilet, they would get pissed on in the dark. On the tank, they would fall into the toilet. On the floor they would get stepped on.

Yes, but why would you do something so uncouth as to put bog roll in the open in the bathroom?

I said, you having a dinner party in there? Put it this way, which would you rather do, guess that there's enough bog roll close at hand, or look down and remove all doubt?
