The gf wants to go skiing and I really want to go snowboarding (but not in Korea, back in Telluride or maybe Salt Lake), It's cheap - 40,000 for a half day with rentals and it's actually supposed to snow this weekend - but it just seems like it will totally suck - I will mainly be stuck in traffic, stuck in a rentals line, stuck in a lift line, stuck in traffic again on the slope and repeat.

Also they have 650feet of vert? that's not even part of a run! that's like 4 or 5 turns!

what should I do?

i've been to jisan is sh#t. In my opinion it was a waste of time. Although I do consider myself a very good skiier, if you/your girlfriend are new to snowbaord/skiing then it might not be too bad. Also the lines were crap, waited 20 min to go up the lift and then took 1 min to get down.

Yongpyong or High one are better alternatives. They are about 3 hours by bus but have 500-700m vertical and much more challenging terrain, not to mention more snow out there.

Enjoy!
