Have any of you guys worked in jeaollanamdo province in south korea? What's it like there? It's weird that all public school jobs pretty give you 14 to 21 days vacation in most parts of South Korea but in public schools in jeaollanamdo they get like up to 6 weeks! Why is that? |

the most underdeveloped region of Korea
can you say "Hick-ville!"
nearby Gyeongsangnamdo is waaaaay more developed (ambitious, connected!) in terms of roads and highways and buildings and industry and I've heard many Koreans talk about it, the politics runs deep (haven't time now to get into it)
the nicest explanation has to do with greater rural farming and fishing |

They need to because most people want to go to the big cities like Seoul and Busan, so if they want to attract quality candidates, they have to offer some sort of perk. I'm a certified teacher and vacation in Jeolla is what keeps me in Jeolla. I'd love to be in Seoul, but the idea of office hours kills me. |
