|
|
My co-teacher just asked if I have done my winter camp lesson plan, I confirmed I've done it.
She asked me if I had printed it out, I said no.
I asked her when she wants to see it, she said she would like to check it's all there before the camp begins.
She has a way of saying things in a creepy way.
Seeing as she gave no date for when she wants to see it. I am not going to show it to her until she specifies a date.
What would you do?
I have nothing to hide but I want to avoid any critique of it from her for as long as possible. I hope to show it to her just before she goes away for winter break so she hasn't got time to make criticisms of my lesson plan. |

If you don't want her criticmn use lots of EFL terms that she doesn't understand. In that way she will not ask for you to rewrite them.

I've done it all now. It is 100 pages long. So, I am just going to keep saying stuff like it's at home, or I forgot to bring it. Then just before winter break, I'll give it to her. |

Yeah, I hope that will shut her up before she even thinks about opening her mouth. She looked surprised when I told her I've done the lesson plan.
I hope when she eventually sees it, 100 pages will do the job. It's got a nice front cover too. |

My co-teacher asked me where I got my plans for regular classes. She saw my printouts and assumed I copied them from somewhere!
"I wrote them." "Wow that would take a long time." "A bit." Then for camp "Don't worry about camp classes, there are resource books in the school library you can copy worksheets from, lots of photocopies no problem." |

No, I'm not being screwed. Look at the history to this situation. We were on really bad terms earlier on in the year, in those days she wanted me to do everything in great detail. That directive came from the Principal, after we both went to complain to him about each other.
We have been civil for months but I can't stand her. This lesson plan was done to avoid any kind of situation where she could criticize the lack of detail in my lesson plan.
But I don't think even she'll expect 100 pages. |

My co teachers are really anal about my winter camp lesson plans.
Last summer , I had a hard time controlling the kids due to the fact that the K teachers didnt show up. The parents complained . But for some reason , the school seems to think its my fault. |

I always teach alone during camps. But because the co-teacher isn't there, I feel I can enjoy life. |

I'm teaching this winter as well. I refuse to teach any classes without a Korean Teacher present. It's illegal and wrong for Get's to be thrown into that situation. All of my KT's are gone this winter so the VP said he will come in and sit in all of my Winter Classes... I look forward to seeing if he does it. Because if he doesn't, I'm seat warming in the office and telling the students to go home. |

I hate doing these camps too. Most of the kids are only there because their parents need a child-minder during the vacation. The teachers are only there because giving us more time off is entirely out of the question. On top of this, we are simply told, "You must do a camp".
No help with planning or teaching, and minimal resources to do the job. What a joke. |

Think positive. I am not using any heating at home during the day at these camps. I can be as lazy as I want to be because the dreaded co-teacher isn't there.
I am also not spending any money during camps. I like the afternoons, as I sit in my warm office (I use my own heater) and surf the net.
I have been here for 18 months now and I feel less stress about this than before. |
