There seems to be a wide variety of haircare products in Korea. I've only bought shampoo myself, but I'm interested in knowing the effects of using the other products such as conditioner and rinse etc. Are they sales gimmicks?

Conditioner and rinse are supposed to condition and soften the hair. It can also control the hair by weighing it down, but that's not always good. Apparently, it causes build-up on the scalp, so it's best to use a little on the top of your scalp. As a woman with long hair, I sometimes don't even put it on the top of my head and just on my "ponytail". It tends to make my hair more oily so I use more of it when my hair is dry.

Oh, thanks. It sounds like it's for somebody with a large volume of hair. As a bloke my hair is kind of short.

Not necessarily. If your hair is frizzy or attracts a lot of static you could use it to tame it a bit. And use it if you want softer hair.

What kind of hair do you have?
What is your daily routine?
What kind of chemical processes have you done to your hair and how often have you done them?
What is your hairstyle?
How often do you wash your hair?
What kind of product do you use?

I've had 6 years of salon experience and if I don't know the answers to the above questions, it is rather difficult to suggest a shampoo and conditioner.

As a guy I've been told (by a professional) to avoid rinse altogether, and just go with a shampoo product such as Loreal or Head and Shoulders.

To girls, The biggest enemy of our hair is stress, believe me.

As long as you are happy, your hair grows and glows.
