Is it better to arrive few days earlier than the date listed on the notice of appointment? (if there is accommodation I can find/afford)

What is it like at the airport? Like when everyone arrives...the paper states that we should make ourselves to Gate F. I'm guessing people will be arriving at different times and such.

Just arrive on time on the day they say you should be there... Not only will you probably be on a plane with a bunch of others going the same way, but SMOE picks you up from the airport directly and then drives you an hour out of town to the orientation centre... Why find your own accomidations when you can just use theirs?

As for orientation - bring a book... At least that's what people have recommended in the past
(or go to the consulate in Toronto and have your visa delayed for a useless interview like they did with me... I arrived just in time to go to bed on the last day of orientation, lol)
