Long story short, I've fiddle-effed around about my vacation time and now I'm looking to leave for Paris on....... Monday.
I don't have a credit card. Which means I can't book a hostel online. If I take a good list with addresses with me, am I likely to find a place with room? Has anyone done this before?
I know I'm basically begging for disaster, but it seems quite a few of the places I've checked into still have room. It's only four days away...
Just looking for a little reassurance, I guess. Or for someone to give me a better suggestion.
Thanks. |

| Hope you have lots of money for Paris. It is winter and backpackers should not be that full. |

If you can find a neighborhood where there seem to be a lot of hostels located, then that's your best bet. I did this one time in Barcelona, just walking from hostel to hostel until I found the best deal. I had a guide book which pointed me in the right direction.
There are also a lot of "cheap" (by paris standards) but seedy hotels where you can stay, which might be a better deal than a hostel. But buyer beware in those places. |
