Hipocritis Maximus

Back in November a group of Korean feminist organizations came together to protest what they called the practice of the top media outlets in Korean society of allowing illegal activities on their internet homepages, specifically prostitution. Heres a great example of what they were talking about: a couple of articles written about the new full salon system by prostitution aficionados and published in the adults-only online section of the Chosun Ilbo, which I will never tire of noting is the nations most conservative major newspaper. If you click through to the link you will find photos of men engaging in straight-up debauchery with Korean women.

Hardcore? Theres nothing harder, right? It would be pretty tough to find anything harder even if you ransacked the encyclopedia. Seems the strongest thing there is is perfect hardcore.

Full salon? The hardcore system that started in the beginning of 2007 might still be unknown even to self-confessed drunkards wandering the streets but for those whove been to it and seen it know the hardcore style is a new species of business. Over the last 10 years the general trend in the business has been to the Bukchang-dong style. The Bukchang-dong style has gone through significant changes and been known as hardcore and show house. But as if mocking the Bukchang-dong style, the full salon is mounting a frontal assault on it. If hardcore is called Bukchang-dong style, what style is full salon? Perfect hardcore is the right phrase.

1. Bukchang-dong style places and full salons are different in several ways. This is good, because not everybody wants the same level of service, amenities, and so on. A lot of us feel that if it isnt ten-percent level, its all the same. Everybody has different tastes, and its close to meaningless to go by the subjective measurement of the girls physical appearances, whether thin or plump.

The biggest difference is that full salons all . Rather than the simple battle time offered by Bukchang-dong style places, full salons aim to get repeat business by offering special services outside of battle time so that customers dont go to an anma after leaving unsatisfied. This is the whole reason that Bukchang-dong style places are always surrounded by anma joints. If you go out to a Bukchang-dong style place, you leave feeling kind of unsatisfied, so you cant help but walk over to an anma, thats the male instinct but full salons cant tolerate that. So they increase their service.

Another difference is that Bukchang-dong style businesses aim at being big and have lots of girls, while most businesses work by line-up, so their service and so on isnt very flexible. Possibly reflecting the recent bad economy, theyve become much cheaper, but when they add all kinds of extra fees to get that extra 2% it gets tough for office workers to hand over that credit card. But full salons offer a solution. They fulfill a customers every desire, and for cheaper than a Bukchangdong-style place. Pretty great service, right?

2. Full salon? What in the heck kind of place is that thanks to the government, the over 10 full salons which were in Gangnam at the start of the year have undergone some changes. Is it the law of the strong eating the weak? Full Hard Club (www.fullclub.co.kr) is a large full salon conquering its competitors. This writer has checked it out for you.

As soon as you cross the threshold, contrary to your expectation of a tiny business the interior is no different from a high-class club. Unlike hardcore bars that always have tiny rooms jammed in together, the rooms are wide and everything looks nice. The atmosphere is that of a high-class club where customers come together for drinks. To sum up in the words of the owner, Jeong, the erotic services we offer our customers are everything, not just selling them lots of drinks. Thats clearly different from most hardcore places. This really is perfect hardcore.. it lets you experience a new night.

There are plenty of choices to enjoy. The moment of choosing the womans body that you most desire, that is a mans privilege.. a lot of men dont realize they can have that right by going out for entertainment. Its always a good choice the feeling you have when making that choice is that your girl is sexier than the ones somewhere else. Are you a man with instincts like a wolf? Or would you rather have a different system? Hey, I dont know. Anyway, in a pretty much exciting situation, look at your partners signals. That signal is the test of whether its a Bukchang-dong style place. The atmosphere is totally free. More than the regular big hardcore places, with your enjoy partners the M.T. comes and you strip off and play Go-Stop and have a great time.. sounds really free and romantic, no?

Once you drop a whiskey bomb or two you start to expect all kinds of wonderful things.. soon the lights go dim and the men and women are all reduced to basic appearances. Thats how you know youre really at a place offering perfect hardcore service. Theres plenty of lover mode (애인모드). That means the girl acts like a really warmhearted lover and offers plenty of lip service, but its just that service, ultimately after the signal theres the push and pull of alternating attack and defense between the guest and the girl at the table. But.. it seems like theres no need to talk like this.

Other (non-worksafe) articles expressing the Chosuns great respect for Korean women include this one about hardcore bars.

Compare that to the Chosuns previous reportage of foreign English teachers dancing in nightclubs with Korean women:
In mid-December, photos from the party were posted on English Spectrum, a website frequented by foreign English teachers working in Korea. They had been taken by some of the foreigners who attended the party and depicted Korean women and Western men dancing together in a suggestive way, Korean women revealing their breasts or underwear, as well as Western men and Korean women touching and kissing.

The photos escaped public scrutiny until 10 days ago, when they sparked an outcry at the height of the cyberspace hysteria about foreign teachers degrading Korean women. Several inflammatory comments posted on English Spectrum by English teachers living in Korea even lead to the formation of a movement to expel foreign teachers from the peninsula. When the photos were discovered, it was like pouring oil on an open fire.

Online rage switched targets from foreign men to the Korean women in the photos. Some online media described the pictures as scenes of women openly enjoying sex with foreigners. These stories were often accompanied by malicious comments like, Whores, are Western bastards that good? and, The English you learn from selling yourself is body language, not real English.

So do they just have big sex parties with all their buddies in the room too? Can't say I would want to get it on with all my friends in the room.

How much that stuff cost? Must be a lot, no wonder it makes up 4% of the GDP.

Isn't it something ridiculous like 500,000 won per customer?

It really depends on the place.

If sex is involved, you don't do it in the room with all of your buddies/business associates next to you. Often times, there will be a motel next door where you go for the 2nd round (i-cha). There are places that end in a BJ and that is done in the room with everyone next to you.

These places don't always end with a happy ending. As the article states, there are often massage places nearby for those who want it. The high end places (tenpro/10%... or the top 10%) that are the most expensive have no i-cha. At those places, you can expect to pay at least a million won per person.

So that's why the large corporations here are struggling! Costs must be exorbitant for those 3 times a week employee outings.
