Do they still do it at the embassy? I heard they don't as of Dec. 17th. Who knows? What's the route to go now?

Can you get the CRC from Korea still?

To answer my own thread, they do still do it at the embassy (at least it seems so from what I saw on their site) for 57,00 won (look under "Living/Travelling in korea" then "Consular Fees". http://www.international.gc.ca/missions/korea-coree/consular-services-consulaires/fees-frais-eng.asp

It is also ok as far as I have seen to get the checks done from here. i heard this is a good bet (and you don't need to be a Manitoba resident). It says you have to use a cheque, cash, etc, but you can also pay by credit card. It's $31.

I also heard about cbmpara.com

For both, you don't need fingerprints.

Winnipeg is the way to go. The RCMP and the local police are one in the same in Manitoba, so things are quick and easy.

I could be wrong but I believe the date Dec 17, 2008 is key. If you get a Canadian CRC after that date you must submit a form with fingerprints.

If you are fortunate enough to have one in the works/mail and it is dated and signed in Canada before Dec 17th, example Dec 16th but you receive it in January they will still process it at the embassy. If it is dated Dec 18th, they will not take it.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
