First of all I happen to be an Asian who likes westerners. However there are things I wish that were different. I'm curious whether other feel/see things the way I do or disagree with my perception of westerners.
1. I admire their contempt for things.
2. I dislike that they fail to bow to the appropriate person but if you spit, cough in their face, sneeze everywhere it is you who is rude or socially awkward. Why are westerners never bowing?? Erect posture everywhere.
3. A westerner will bluntly ask your name, marital status, and opinions on sensitive topics. I've found they are disinterested in your background, where you come from, but insist on talking about social issues. To me they have tunnel vision and are somewhat intrusive in this regard. It is an aspect of westerners I wish was different.
4. They are very concerned about their happiness. Kudos to this act of ambition.
5. They cannot drive cars well.
6. They are more comfortable in their skin than Asians. They don't dress as good and don't care as much--they kick our butts on this issue.
7. They are healthier - except they eat too much. Few have respiratory problems.
8. They are vain, somewhat insecure and an unusually high amount of the women seem to have what I would describe as psychological issues. Like many are borderline nervous breakdown.
9. Finally I find them "unaware". Hard to describe exactly what I mean, but I notice this in Asia too. They are oblivious of the world or so it seems. Living in a heterogeneous society perhaps causes them to be culturally unaware and insensitive. |

White people can't eat spicy food. Kim chi is too spicy for white people. Korean people ask white people if they can eat spicy food to rub it in. |

LOL, that's pretty damn accurate, though I wouldn't characterise them as over-all 'healthier'. I'd also add:
- They think that their individual opinions should count for so much regardless of what conext they're in or how much experience they have there. |

I hate white people for creating nations that are so pleasant to live in and so enviable that millions of asians have emigrated to them and millions more wish they could. |

I have. You should also check out this one: http://stuffkoreanmomslike.blogspot.com/ . It might help explain why some students are so weird. |

Pretty funny. Did you read the ongoing chat at the bottom? How did I know it would turn into a slavery debate? |

That site lost its novelty to me when I found out the people running it make a living off it. |

Why? Why shouldn't they be compensated for their work? |

It started out as one guy's bit of fun but proved too successful to keep amateur. |

The same way many successful businesses start. |
