I remember seeing it somewhere here on Dave's. Do you know where the link to the video is?

Even the dad is pissed. You can see him give her the evil eye. I don't care about cultural relativity or whatever the PCers want to label things, that was wrong in any culture and I must admit, I highly, highly doubt that would ever happen in our countries. Does anyone disagree?

I don't know. But, I've downloaded it and I will rename it and upload it with appropriate tags. I think this is a great video to use to teach a class on cultural differences. teach a class on cultural differences.

WTF was she thinking?

Only the single most important moment in a womans life, and right in the middle of it Ajumma walks right up the aisle, past her, and drags her dress with it. I'm even more suprised the people on the benches weren't all glaring at her. If that happened in America, I think people would have already started throwing bibles at her or whatever else they could find in the church. I don't care how old she is, that doesn't excuse her from ruining a bride's moment. Utterly inconsiderate, unthoughtful, and disgraceful.

Culture, whatever...

If people know me on the boards, I'm pretty forgiving on a lot of things. But this I think is just utter stupidity. She better be senile or autistic, because there's really no other excuse for it.

She couldn't have waited the 5 more seconds till the bride passed to get into her seat. This video opens my eyes... I didn't think people are capable of this level of ignorance.

That video is awful. The bitch should have had the piss knocked out of her.
But Uberscheisse, you have made my day and given me a quote I will shamelessly steal and repeat;

"cowtitted cumdumpster" -- pure genius!

I did that. My students were horrified by her behaviour. I asked my co-teacher why nobody at the wedding reacted and he said something like "They shouldn't make a scene." Basically everyone had to ignore it rather than draw attention to such rude behaviour.
Korea sparkling.

What else can they do? If you call the lady out on her behaviour right then, you risk a shouting match and further ruining the moment. Just proceed and hopefully someone will call her out on it at the reception or some place more appropriate for a shouting match.

I saw another one of these "Korean moments" at Costco today. Two old women, who were probably about the same age as the old mom in that video, decided to turn around and walk back UP the automatic stairway/escalator belt that goes from floor 1 to B1. They kept pushing through people and their carts, trying to go up faster than the belt was pushing them down. All the way they were cackling and laughing. NO ONE ELSE was laughing, and the Costco employee at the top of the stairs was pissed (she was about 19, and could do nothing, of course). These old farts held up a line of people just so they could avoid the usual route.

Soooo halmonistcially Korean!

We also watched some fat 20-something guy and his wife take three large sheets of aluminum foil and fill each of them with as many chopped onions as they could hold -- FOR TAKE-OUT! They emptied an entire machine and took it all home.

Then we sat and watched the next five Koreans in line slap and jostle the machine to get every last onion out. They all had this depressed/desperate look on their faces like someone had stolen their child.

Somebody PLEASE make a You-Tube video of Koreans cranking away on the Costco onion machine, mixing it all up with mustard ketchup, and eating a pile. If you have never seen this, it's worth a trip to Costco just to see it. Pure entertainment! Laughing

wow...everyone gets soo wound up.

I think the video is hilarious and if someone did that at my wedding I'd probably break down laughing. I can see WHY someone would be angry but I would just laugh and laugh.
