Does anyone know if it's true that you can only get a criminal record check now from Canada?

If not, has any one gotten one from the Winnipeg Police Dept. It seems pretty simple. Do you have to be from Manitoba?

What else have people tried from here?

I used cbmpara.com. They can do it without fingerprints. Total cost is $166.22 (or something like that) with shipping. They can get it done pretty quick. Then you get it notarized at the embassy which costs 57,000 Won. The only thing is I think the Canadian embassy stopped notarizing them as of Dec 17th.

Look into it with the embassy (for the notarizing thing).

I second cbmpara. All I had to do was email them a scan of my passport and I had the CRC in a couple weeks. However, I only paid $66, if you want it in under a week than it costs $166. And it was accepted by Immigration without a problem.

Winnipeg P.D. $30 with two pieces of photocopied I.D. Took about 3 weeks.
