Two of my friends and I have plane tickets to Jeju for the 4 day weekend but have no hotel, or car reservations. None of us have an international licence so that may not even be an option. The first thing we want to do is head to loveland. How easy is it to get from the airport to Loveland? Is there a bus? Also how available are love hotels on the island? Are they more expensive than on the mainland? Are cabs still cheap on Jeju?

You can take a bus to loveland. Just check the maps and ask around. We took a bus and got off on the wrong stop and just hopped in a cab, no biggie. We sorted a motel at the airport info desk, and it was totally fine. They even came and picked us up. I think the motel was about 50 a night.

Cabs are the same as anywhere else in Korea, I believe.

Head down to Seogwipo....it's really chilled out, and there's a sex museum there. Only spent one night in Jeju city, so there may be other things to do there, but I don't know.

It's worth the hike to climb Hallasan. The view is amazing: you can see the whole island.

Also, check out the big hotels for a nice meal. We got the set meal for about 40 thou each, and it was so good, I still think about it. mmmmm.

Have fun! I really liked Jeju! I was in major pain after the hike up Halla, but like I said, it was totally worth it. Just bring a bottle of soju to enjoy at the top, or beer. We were sad not to have anything once we were up there.

my boyfriend and i spend 4days in jeju in summer 07. We rented a taxi for a day it cost about 100,000won and was worth every bit of it!! we basicly had two things we really wanted to do, then left the rest up to him. he took us to some of the most amazing sights on jeju that you wouldnt ever know about without a local with you. Also he was probally one of the nicest korean men we meet in korea.

we organised it through the hotel we stayed in, but im pretty sure you can organise them with the tourist booths that are around. I would really recommend this if your interested otherwise it can be difficult to get around the island as i believe the buses arent often reliable.

enjoy your trip!! Very Happy
