I can't believe they're at it again, after all that stink last year between Korea and the Wiesenthal Center over the Nazi cosmetics commercial and the anti-semetic cartoon affair. I know, I know, the Wiesenthal Center center doesn't understand korean culture, and it's not something really offensive or hurtful like, oh, guys dressed in Japanese Imperial Army uniforms.

If only Karma really did come to Korea. Let's help make it so, and at the same time do our part in Korea's newly invigorated national branding initiative. Email the Wiesenthal Center. They'll be happy, but in no way surprised to hear from you.

I remember the dust up over that cosmetics ad. Never saw the ad itself, but a still picture of the woman in the ad dressed up in the uniform. I'm not sure how offensive the game itself is, but the pictures look really stupid.

*shrugs* people go out of their way to be offended by anything these days. Its okay to have dozens, or hundreds of video games featuring nazis, but the moment you put one of them in the ad for the game itself.. its bad?

Not buying it. Just people looking for an excuse.

As for the game, its out already: http://www.karma2.co.kr/Main/HomeMain.aspx

Not sure what engine it is, but looks decent enough. I love the free video games in Korea. You'll have to have a friend make an account for you if you want to try it, this one doesn't take foreign registration.

Koreans are only offended by things that directly affect them. You'd be beaten in the streets and killed if you wore an Imperial Japanese army uniform but Nazis are ok. Only 6 or so million Jews killed and all that. Frog in the well syndrome strikes again.

Korean branding in action. Sad
