1. Every Sunday afternoon, soccer teams get together to play in Seoul. It's a league game on Sundays, and we are looking for good soccer players (foreigners) to join our team.

2. On Monday or Thursday nights, we play a friendly game. If you can make it out on these days, then let me know.

If you are interested in joining our team, please send an email or text me. ([email protected] / 010-5166-2610)

My name is Sun.

Where do you play/practice? I'd be interested if it was close...really close. I'm near Chulseon, there is a nice public field right across the street from me.

He is Korean. His team has both foreigners and Koreans. I think he just worded it badly. Relax!

It is an expat league. anyway Koreans are welcome to play too. Sun's team has a lot of Koreans on it so I think he is just trying to recruit.

The Thursday night is fun too. A lot of Koreans don't like the Sunday league because there is a bit of travel and they can usually find games closer to where they live or are already on a team.

Also the style of play is a bit less mannerful than typical friendlies on Sunday.

Anyway Sun knows lots of Koreans and is just looking for more international players to round out his team I guess.

Give me a shout if you need someone for Thursday once in a while.

sukimok,

My previous comment was tongue in cheek. I realized you were Korean and your wording was typical of a Korean writing in English. No harm done.

For future reference, you should have said "we are looking for good soccer players (both foreign and Korean)" or simply that you are looking for good soccer players without mentioning ethnicity at all. That way everyone would feel welcome and foreigners wouldn't feel that they are being singled out.

Your English isn't too bad, keep up the good work and good luck with your soccer team.

yeha I like the term football better too but you end up with a bunch of disappointed Americans who are expecting a squished ball. Anyway ladies are allowed t oplay in the league. Sun sounds like he is scouting for quality players fro next season but friendlies welcome all skill/experience levels. It is a bit of a let down if you are benched during the season.

anyway there are a few games going on around town and playing with any team is a good way to find out about other games. http://ssflkorea.com/news.php
