| Can I get my criminal report back from immigration? Afterall, it's mine and I paid for it. And it was expensive to get it. It's mine, not theirs. Just like my diploma. |

| I want to know this too. I tried to get multiple copies this time and it was okay with the police, but not the Canadian Embassy which wanted 57,500 won to stamp each identical copy. Greedy jerks. |

You could've just gotten one of them stamped later if needed. Or maybe that's what you're doing. And they're only good for 6 months.
I just think that it's ours, so it should be given back. I guess they need it on file just in case. |

| You are not going to be able to get it back ... BUT there is also no point in getting it back in any case .... It is only valid for 6 months ie the CRC needs to be no more than 6 months old to be acceptable to Immigration ... So if you are applying for another job in Korea you are going to have to get a new one in any case |

| The immi officer I do my business with (I only go to this specific officer, as she speaks fantastic English, gave me her cell phone number if I had problems at any time when I'm there, and is kinda cute as well) told me I won't have to get my CRC or med check done again since I have already done it. I know they vary from place to place, but you'd be smart to check in case you don't have to do all the leg work and spend the bucks to get a new one... |

I'm not all that positive that you need to get another CRC if you're changing jobs after only 6 months. Especially if you haven't left the country, whatever that has to do with anything.
The only thing I'm sure of is that if you are applying for a visa where I CRC is needed (where one was at not previously given to immigration for a prior visa), the CRC should be no older than 6 months from the date it was processed and signed. I think you have to have 9 months in on a contract to be able to transfer your sponsorship to another institute without having to leave the country. If that were the case, and you didn't have a new CRC, and if one were needed, one would think they'd allow the transfer and give you time to hand in another.
I don't know. |
