I looked though the posts and didnt find anything about getting my car fixed.
Does anyone know the cost of getting the rear brake pads replaced (not rotors just pads), battery changed, and an oil change. I suppose I could do it myself, but I havent seen an auto parts store, nor do I have the tools or inclination.
Its going to be fun when I roll up and try to explain what I need, but I would like to have a ballpark figure to work with so I know Im not getting bent over. Im in Cheonan/Asan area if it makes a difference.
Thank you for any information. |

One of my students father owns a large auto shop. The small stuff, he lets it slide. I've once had to have my car towed to shop because some parts over heat and broke. At the same time it was decided to replace the timing belt, since the motor was alreadt taken out and open up.
Everything came out to 400,000 won.
I would ask 2 or 3 shops the costs of replacing brakes. |

I wouldn't expect to pay more than 200,000 won for that. Batteries are on the expensive side (I paid around 125,000 for a middle-range life and cranking power one). An oil change is about 30,000. I haven't replaced my brake pads, but I don't suspect that is very expensive.
Either way, it shouldn't be difficult at all to explain what you need done. Good luck. |
