Does it normally take over two weeks for the visa issuance number to come through? Should I be worried mine hasn't yet? I am due to begin work this coming Monday.

Took 10-11 days for mine...maybe the delay is because of the Public Holidays today and tomorrow?

Doesn't take very long. 7 to 14 days.

I've been waiting since January 14th, and I'm getting nervous about it, too.

If you're in Korea, immigration can always extend your stay if you have to leave the country by a certain date.

If you're waiting for it in your home country, you can always move your departure flight back.

If you're worried about the start date of your contract, don't. It's not your fault.

So what's the big deal?

My recruiter has told me that it is taking a bit longer lately for the number to be issued. It normally is about 2 weeks, but looks like it will be taking longer.

I wonder why this is the case. It's frustrating, regardless.

How frustrating?! I've already left my job here and as of Thursday I have no place to live. Hopefully it doesn't take too much longer or else I'll be an unemployed bum hogging my parents' couch and remote control. I am sure they won't be too thrilled at that.

That's what I've been doing since December.
