I live close to Sadang. There are some sidewalk vendors selling a limited selection of stuff there. The actual outdoor retail places are too rich for my blood. Any markets or popular places for secondhand/cheap stuff? With all of the people who hike here, there has to be something.[/code] |

There are some places around jongno 4 ga/kwangjang market that seem to have stuff that fell off the truck, if you know what I mean - you can find stuff around dongdaemun - another good place to look is near trail heads on the east side of bukhansan/dobongsan |

Like somebody above said, any of the major trail heads are good enough. Sure, it's not top brand gear but it's certainly good enough for Korean mountains for at least a year. And cheap. Or try Dongdaemun. Or, usually whatever street you live on has a hiking shop. It'll do the job for few pennies.
I'm sure someone will say it's crap quality, but really, you don't need the best outfit for doing Korean \hiking/climbing |
