I went to Kyobo today and considered a new snowboarding or new magazine.

Good golly the prices have gone up! I used to pay 11,000 and 12,000, now those have gone up to 18,000. I saw FHM (a men's magazine) selling for 26,000!

Did this happen at all bookstores, like Bandi and Luni, and What the Book?

I was going to head there, but Kyobo was closer. I'll have to see what they charge for Transworld Snowboarding.

Yeah they have. Last week I paid 20k for Wired and Adbusters.

ah! 17,000 or 36,000 for GQ
17,000 for Cosmo
16,000 for National Geographic I think
7,000 for Newsweek.

seriously it's cheaper for me to buy 2 books than to buy on magazine.
I don't get it...it's not like magazines require special handling or anything...WTF?!

I was only able to find Vice magazine in Tokyo! Haven't seen it in Seoul yet.

What the Book definitely has the best prices for magazines (around 7,000). I buy a lot of magazines, but never at Bandi or Kyobo, the prices are insane.

You might try to buy them at the USO Office near Samgakji Station. I saw them there while booking DMZ tickets, and they seem to be US prices, or they were as of November '07.

The USO stopped selling magazines last year.
