Has anyone heard about when the orientation is this year? I'm fairly certain that it starts sometime during the week of Feb. 16th but I can't seem to find any information more specific than that.

Much appreciated.

If I remember correctly, newbies are flying in on the 19th and being taken from the airport straight to orientation.

I heard the EPIK orientation is at Dankook University.. a few hours outside of Seoul. New EPIK teachers are supposed to arrive on February 19.

Feb 20 to 24 in Naksan (between Sokcho & Yangyang).

Thats for people hired directly by the province. A few others will come through the national orientation then join the Naksan group on the last day for dispersal to schools. Your recruiter will keep you informed.

Good question. Among those not renewing, I'd guess a good few are opting to use leftover vacation time to leave early, but some will still need their apartments till the end of the month. I dont think its been fully thought through yet. Motel rooms for affected newbs their first few nights is one likely solution.

Just for the record, the venue's now been changed to Osaek.
Still in Yangyang County but at a hotsprings resort in the mountains.
Same dates.
