If somebody offered you a job, teaching privates, but insisted you send them a picture beforehand, would you............

1) Do so.

2) Suspect them of asking for it, in order to turn you into immigration.

3) Just go ahead and send them your pic, thinking it's not going to be a problem?

I like to be ultra-cautious.

That's pretty standard.

And yes, looks have a lot to do with being hired.

No one at immigration will care if they are discriminating against you for your race, weight, age, height, etc...

If you want the job then send your picture. It's not a big deal. If you're going to be at some apartment to teach privates, then you are a bragging item for the mother. She's going to tell all the neighbors, family and friends that her kids have a foreign English tutor. She's not going to be forking out 40,000-50,000Won/hr so she can be made fun of because the English teacher is a fatty or ugly.
