Maybe not weird so much as sad...

a little boy, maybe 6, 7 or so, screaming - SCREAMING! - at the top of his lungs, "BAE GO PA! BAE GO PA! BAE! GO! PA!" (I'm hungry!") for a good 1/2 hour to his chain-smoking mother who sat in her chair, completely ignoring him while she played game ofter game of GoStop online.

Just last night I'm sitting there minding my own business, perusing the pornog...er, Dave's ESL Cafe... when a flash bulb goes off behind me. Big guy takes a photo of me, my screen(the computer then shut down for some reason) and others in the bang. Apparently, he was a cop checking for...God knows what.

One time last year we saw a guy asleep in his chair, with noodle cups piled nearly to the ceiling, empty coffee cups, empty cigarette packs, and a mountain of butts in the ashtray. The guy working there told us he had been there for over 70 hours.

Burping. Of all bad manners in a PC room, that is the weirdest yet. He wasn't even drinking anything.

One time I started making those horrible sounds when someone is about to hock a logie, and I expected everyone to look at me with disgust. No one even batted an eyelash.

The PCBang near me is up the street from a hospital. I usually surf from home but the few times I've dropped in, the place is filled with patients. There'll be half a dozen of them sitting there in their hospital gowns, some with IV plugged into their arms, cigarettes in their mouths, and fingers on the mouse, playing Starcraft. This is at 2am or 3am in the morning, too.

The weirdest thing I saw when coming into my pc bang was a girl on another computer looking at a picture of me on a pc I had saved the picture on a few weeks back.

Once, three weeks after arriving in seoul, i woke up in a pc bang near my house and couldn't remember how i got there. the night before, i had gone to a bar and was quite drunk when this korean guy wanted to introduce me to soju. the last thing i remember is sitting there drinking soju and eating ojingah. i never found out if i was carried into the pc room or just stumbled in and passed out. my apartment was right up the hill so i don't know why i didn't just walk home. i paid on the way out and my bill was like 6,000 won so i had been there for a while. the grin on the cashiers face spoke volumes.
