Does anybody know of any trustworthy or legitimate pet boarding places in Ulsan or Busan for my rather small dog for one week? An emergency has arisen and I have to fly home for just one short week and I rather not put him through the stress of long distance traveling for just one week.
Any help is much appreciated. |

I suppose you could try www.animalrescuekorea.org
You could post and see if anyone is willing, this might be the most comfortable.
I know of vets who do the boarding thing so you can try that. The Korean name is Dong mul won...but really it doesn't look comfortable for them, not much space!! |

i hate to say it, but the boarding options here are rather poor. they all seem to involve small cages 24 hours a day with no playtime or activity or even much attention. generally pet shops and vets seem to offer the 'service'. i think your best bet is trying to find a friend who is willing to watch your dog while you're back in the states.
assuming your dog is small enough to travel in the cabin with you, as mine is, the stress of travelling might be lower than the stress of being stuck in a cage with nothing to do for a whole week with a person who doesn't particularly care.
i believe there is a sticky thread for pet sitting here on the boards- maybe in the off topic forum? i used to see one at the top of one of the boards but its been awhile since i checked it, hopefully you can have luck finding one. maybe not in busan but someone who'd be willing to watch the dog even if it requires a little travelling for you to bring it there... good luck ! |
