Is it possible to add a second job to my alien card if I'm teaching at a hagwon? |

Yes. You need to get a letter of permission from your primary employer, plus all the primary employers documentation and schedule. And then you need all the documentation from the second employer. The whole process costs about 80,000 won. You will essentially have two E2s and you second employer cant pay you more than what you currently make at your primary employer. |

Is it the rate, the hours, or the amount earned that has to be less?
Another rule I don't really understand regardless of the answer. Many other factors can go into choosing your first job. As long as you have permission from your primary employer and schedules do not overlap, I don't see what difference the pay should make. |

I believe it is the amount earned per month.
EDIT: I believe it is the amount of hours you work at your secondary employer has to be less. I can't remember because it has been so long since I did it. |

So it doesn't matter if I work at a hagwon? I've heard that you can only add jobs if you work at a public school and it includes one or more public school gigs. |

Actually, it is almost the opposite. You can easily add a place of employment if you are employed by a hogwan. If you work for a public school the MOE can get you to teach at as many schools as they want. However you cannot teach in a hogwan and at a public school (although there is a gray area there). |
