I read an article awhile back about a Korean guy who claimed he bought a flat panel TV in the USA and shipped it to Korea. He claimed he saved tons of money by doing this. The article explained oftentimes Samsung would sell the exact same TV in the US just under a different model name. Maybe its not a good idea anymore, since the kor won pooped out. I know Koreans are pissed that the hyundai genesis cost significantly less in the US than it does in Korea.
Has anybody done this? Or compared the prices? Can you bring a large flat panel TV home with you on the plane? Or I wonder what the shipping would be. |

Sorry for off-topic, but the Genesis is priced differently because in America it faces plenty of competition, but in Korea it faces much less due to tariffs and other barriers. |
