At the end of November, I finished with a job that I'd taught at for 6 months and signed on for another hagwon job which I started in January. I was misled by the director, teacher I was replacing, and my recruiter and want to quit and work for a private school or foreign language school. I have a couple of opportunities for March with much better conditions than I currently have.
My question is, should there be any problem with immigration if I quit so early and change to another school? Is there a limit to how many jobs you can quit before your visa expires?
Also, does anyone have any experience with private schools(not hagwons, but actual schools)? They seem like they are better than both public and hagwon jobs in that the pay is higher, you have much more vacation, the hours are shorter than hagwons, and you get to have other foreign teachers at the school. Are there any downsides to these schools? |

I've got to think that places would be wary of hiring someone who has a history of leaving contracts early. |

Bump on what ChinaBoy said.
If your overall happiness improves, then do it.
A helluva lot better than staying at a misleading place.
btw, please define how they are "misleading" you |

I was told by the foreign teacher, the recruiter and the director that I'd be teaching under 100 hours from 3-7, and I was scheduled for exactly 120 hours from 12:30 or 2:30-9:30. None of this is in the contract, which I feel like an idiot for signing, but I do have saved emails with these details. Also, the schedule isn't a result of intensives, My schedule for next month is the same, and all of the classes I teach are only once or twice a week. There are other small things that were misleading, but they're really not worth mentioning. |

I mean how many jobs can you quit in one year? This will be my second. I'm giving up on the hagwon game, I think. |
