I know that in Korea, the min requirement is a B.A
what about other countries? does japan require a b.a?
or is a tesol cert enough?
what countries will accept applicants who only have tesols?
I'm asking for a buddy who doesn't have a b.a |

South East Asia will let you in without one.
As will China I think. I've seen jobs advertised that only ask for a TESOL cert |

Anybody can get one, it's considered first year college level curriculum.
Whether it will be useful depends on the hiring authority.
I know with TESOL and 2 years of college you qualify for a higher pay grade in the new TALK program this program is also available to Ethnic Koreans, there are some EPIK positions that use this requirement too it just requires screening and selection through the NIIED.
For EPIK you need a 4 year degree and be a natural born English speaker with a degree from a natural born English speaking country. |

Didn't they just announce EPIK was cutting it back to 2 years (there was a thread on this about a month or so ago) or was that another *PIK? |
