I have standard HSBC current account in the UK, Would I be able to deposit Korea Won into the same account using HSBC Seoul Branch?

no i called them last year about the same thing. You have to open a korean account with hsbc and there is no preferential treatment when transfering between accounts. I don't think the hsbc office in seoul s particulary interest in personal banking. My advice just use a normal korean bank to do you remittences, or hold onto won as it is likely to continue its appreciation against the pound.

Use KEB. HSBC in Korea is more about market share than personal banking. There's no direct connection between HSBC Korea and other ones around the world. Name only.
