| I have standard HSBC current account in the UK, Would I be able to deposit Korea Won into the same account using HSBC Seoul Branch? |

| no i called them last year about the same thing. You have to open a korean account with hsbc and there is no preferential treatment when transfering between accounts. I don't think the hsbc office in seoul s particulary interest in personal banking. My advice just use a normal korean bank to do you remittences, or hold onto won as it is likely to continue its appreciation against the pound. |

| Use KEB. HSBC in Korea is more about market share than personal banking. There's no direct connection between HSBC Korea and other ones around the world. Name only. |
