I will be finishing my contract 16 days into the month after pay day.

How do you calculate the pro-rata.

Is it the annual salary/365

Or is it only worked out on working days 365-weekends-official holidays.= days worked/salary

I'm not sure why you're asking on Dave's. Ask your school.

Each place does it differently and you can bet that they will do it in the way which is most favorable to THEM.

I would imagine you get paid monthly, not yearly anyway.

It's usually:

(salary/days in that month) * number of days worked = pro rata

I like the schools who take your salary (2.1 for example) and divide by 30 to get 70,000 per day, but then only multiply it by the number of actual days worked (say 10) for 700,000 instead of days including weekends (like 14) for 980,000 KRW.

Seriously, ask the school, their opinion is the only one that matters. They won't care what people on Dave's say.

Very true. However it's good to get an opinion of the various ways it's calculated so that some feet stamping can be carried out.
